Freshwater Flies

Saltwater Flies

Fatal Attractor, Orange Streamer. The story behind this fly's creation was several fishing outing on Lake Winnipesaukee in August and September of 2003, fishing the area around Rattlesnake and Diamond Islands. There was a fisherman that was catching salmon in the 3 to 4 lb range using an orange fly. At first I didn't pay much to his success, until one outing this fisherman came up with a 7lb 2oz salmon. That was his largest salmon ever, he was tickled pink. I looked through my hundred of flies in my arsenal and not one was orange. I then looked a the transom area where I have a piece of Styrofoam pipe insulation that I use to hang lures that have been washed and those that are to be washed. Most of these lures had some form of orange or red decoration on them. So, I set out to create a fly that was an attractor and this is the results. Used it several times and it catches salmon, waiting for the 7 lb.
